    Hi all

On my K1 last night EML came on, checked this morning and had:

    Address 7E7: 1 Fault Found
P2540 - Low pressure fuel sensor (G410): Implausible signal

checked again tonight and its changed to:

    Address 7E8: 46 Faults Found:
P2040 - SAE - Reductant injection sensor circuit: High output

The car feels fine, smooth idle, pulls well, starts fine.

Probably silly but the car has 10 miles left so needs fuel.

I cannot find anything on here about the second one, does anyone know what it could be?

and, is it ok to do a couple of hours journey in?

    Cheers

    CB

I actually just found something on another site, what I understand could be about emission build up. My commute to work is 3 miles often in traffic, could it be getting clogged up?!

    have you reset them?

My car one threw a low voltage on emissions sensor. Never did it again after it was cleared.

If you can reset, do it and see if they come back.

Possible hesitation with P2540 - Low pressure fuel sensor (G410) code

I did reset them mate, annoyingly came back on.

I would say there was/is a slight hesitation actually. It didn't seem to pull so well, then went on the journey and deffo noticed it was better on way back and since.

However, I can feel a slight hesitation lower down in the revs, then pulls like a train when you wind it up.

This morning light came back on after gently driving it for a few minutes.

Any thoughts? if its something simple I can change parts myself.

    Cheers

When i had a similar hesitation it was my coil pack.

However that threw up a code that said misfire on cylinder #

Good website to check is "Yourmechanic". They list the codes.
You can search in the "advice" section. Not all codes are listed though so look around on google.

Here is some info on P2040 - https://www.yourmechanic.com/articl...sure-sensor-circuit-high-input-by-jay-safford

An oil change then clearing the codes could be worth a shot?

    and some info on P2450 - https://www.obd-codes.com/p2540

Let us know how you get on. The more info we can get here (and symptoms etc..) the better for when people search.

    Good luck!!

    Thanks mate

It keeps coming back on, after about 1 mile of nursing it along. So am thinking its not to do with needing high fuel pressure under boost?

I wonder if I would be lucky enough for it to be a bad connection? Am guessing I can just unplug, clean up and plug back in?

Also found this video which from 3:.00 relates to our engine? Can I use VCDS to check HPFP working ok?
