Can I spray general anti-bac household spray into the air con system?
It's a clear general purpose "kills 99.9%" spray.
Or is a slosh of bleach in some water better?

Is there any reason generally why I shouldn't use these existing products?
Wouldn't they be more likely to actually kill off anything nasty in the system, rather than just covering up the smell that some products seems to do?

I'm talking about spraying into air intakes or into inside vents, not dismantling anything.

+1 on this! Bleach+water or antibacterial sprays will damage your plastics and cause god knows what damage to your aircon!

What happens when the spray runs down inside the ducts and gets to the other end of them where all the electrics and sensors for your aircon are located? Best case, hundreds of pounds of expensive sensors get covered in bleach and need replacing plus the labour to remove the whole dash and fit them.... worst case is water and electricity= fire
