"knocking" sound from the engine.

Hey I have a Seat Ibiza GTI (cupra) from 1998.
Engine type 2,0 16v
Today when I stood beside the car when it was on, I heard a "knocking" sound from the engine. It seems to me to get anywhere at the wheel arch on passengers on board means hand, the sound comes when the car has been in a while. Close since the start o if it sounds nothing at any minute. then it will slowly again. When I heard the first time it sounded pretty loud. heard it when I was standing a few feet from the car.
The sound is heard best somsagt the right wheel arch.

oil level is not available and CORRECTLY so that haunts

Could that be the timing belt?

Have you checked all the pulleys for being loose? could be a lot of thing from big ends to allsorts could you do a video of it?

The sound is heard only when the engine is hot, and if you turn off the engine and then start it immediately again, it takes about a minute before the sound is heard again, I can get movies soon.

it may be water pump? or it may be ac compressor?
