hey guys ,
I own a 55 plate lcr with 12500 mile on , and it doesnt seem to handle at all
it seems very 'soft' on the rear end and have loads of body roll even though the ride is hard !? ive checked the tire pressures n set them accourding to the book ....

it just doesnt fill me with confidence at all , i had a clio 182 with cup packs on which was a rite go kart !!

does anyone else think the same ?

If you're comparing it to the Clio, of course it's going to feel different. But the feel of it and the way it actually handles can be two different things. It's a bigger car than your Clio and is carrying a good few hundred kilos extra, not to mention the fact your Clio had the cup pack.

But despite the fact it feels heavier, it still handles very well. It's never going to feel the same as a cup Clio though.

If you want to improve things, new ARB's will make an instant improvement. Also, get a decent set of tyres on it (get rid of the standard Pirellis ASAP!) and make sure you get a full geometry check (tracking, toe, camber etc).

Not in the slightest. They are terrible, to be honest. And if you're like many other LCR owners, they wont wear evenly either, even if your tracking is perfect.

Before you ask - as I'm sure this will be your next question - the forum favourite tyres are Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3, Toyo's and more recently the Dunlop Sportmaxx. Plenty of info out there already :)

You can't come on here and make a comment like that you know, all the LCR owners will linch you. But come over to this corner where we all ( i.e. just me ) think the LCR is a barge handling wise.

What you're describing is exaclty my thoughts too, but there are fixes. a decent set of ARB's and decent suspension upgrade aparently make things better, although I have yet to change anything as yet.
