LED tail lights not turning on

Hi, I'm having trouble with my CarDNA LED tail lights.
They have worked without problems for 4 years, but in the last half year or so they have started not turning on and causing an error in the MFD. I can then switch off/on ignition and it works again. Its only the inner rear LEDs, sometimes both, sometimes one of them. They have built-in power resistors and i guess they are failing. anyone who has experience with this?

Is it worth trying to put in a power resistor?

Also anyone knows which wire is what on the left connector.

From the top there is is a brown wire, grey/yellow and a grey/white.

My guess is brown: ground, grey/white: 12v?

That connector looks damaged - it appears to have got very hot - looks melted.

It's not melted, i think its the picture that makes it look like that.
