What are pressed plates?

Pressed plates are typically made out of some form of metal with the characters actually being pressed into the surface so they sitting proud of the plates surface, or embosed..

German plates are typically like this
You can get german style plates from many places, but many of these are NOTY legal. If they have the german font they are definately illegal.
Some places now sell legal plates which use UK font and are made to meet UK specs which have been tightened in the last few years. This includes the detials of who made the plates being printed onto the plate along the bottom somewhere.

Is it just me or does the character '5' not look right.

Yep you should definetely get a set. I love the set that I have and wouldnt go back to plastic ones now.

Mine are currently in german font (slash in the zero) with gb banding and havent had any problems with them at all, although I will be getting myself a set of legal ones in the next few weeks.

Mine vibrate alittle bit depending if I have my sub on and what I am listening to. Had abit of drum and bass today and the rear plate was vibrating alittle. But I do have it in a plate holder.

Think I need some dynamat for my bootlid.
