Hi peeps, im just wondering does anyone know the colours MK2 FR's were ade in and the numbers made for each colour? i frequently see red, black and silver. the reason i ask is ine is Gun metal grey and ive never seen another one like it.
I see alot of red and black. There's also white, silver, speed blue and the gun metal. I've seen one bright orange (possibly a wrap) and there's a lightish blue colour aswell that I know of. Other members will have more knowledge on the colours.
The face lift also came in a metallic gold, think it was called Bola. Looked really good in the metal, not seen many around, saw an Ibiza in the same colour last week. There were also 2 metallic greys, and 2 metallic blacks, Black Magic and later Phantom Black. There was also a very light blue on pre facelifts as Matt says but can't recall the name.
Rob - don't suppose you know which black was which? Being an idiot I can't figure out which one mine is, it's got the reddish/purple flecks in it. I do like the gunmetal colour though, would probably have ordered that if I'd bought from new...
Nick, to check what your colour is, see if there's a codes sticker on the floor under the boot carpet. Phantom Black is LC9Y and Black Magic is LC9Z, I think. Phantom is quite deep black, whereas magic has a lighter purply-grey reflectance.
I have a yellow FR.. dont tend to see many around in yellow either, in fact i don't think i have seen any in my time of ownership

Mine is gunmetal grey colour, not sure on Seat name. I haven't seen a gunmetal grey one yet, how many of each colour was made?
Finally got round to checking where you suggested! Turns out mine's "Inferi Black" - paint code LW9V. Makes sense as it didn't quite match any of the pics of Black Magic I could find on Google! Got a great red/purple fleck to it. Getting the polisher out this weekend I hope! Will be dead chuffed if I can get it looking as good as the one halfway down this forum page. Wow. PS I have a suspicion Inferi is a Cupra colour whereas you're talking FR, so feel free to ignore my posts!
I'll put my oar in for Citrus Yellow! I was looking for Lumina Orange, Kiwi Green, Red, Black, White, in that order, the first 2x were FL which was top of my budget and all the ones I saw were moon milage! This one came up and ticked most of the boxes except colour, went to see it and the colour in the flesh is really nice, especially when it's clean... when it's dirty it's a bit flat and crap looking, but the same can be said for most colours. It was an £800 option according to the p/w I've got... I would've prefered the winter pack for the money!!
