Hi,

This is my first post here, I have a mk3 Leon SE and I was trying to remove the front bumper following a few guides I found (some on here). They all seemed to say the same thing so I removed all the screws and as the bumper has never been off before as far as I know I knew I’d have to pull quite hard. But I couldn’t get it to shift. I’m sure I removed all screws so gave it a fairly hard pull and it has partly sheared off by the passenger wheel arch with the clips still in place. I’m just wondering if anyone else has had this issue on an SE (or an FR) and if anyone can help me as to what I did wrong!

Have to admit when I took mine off it was a scary affair. Do you have any pictures so I can get an idea of where it’s broke and is potentially still attached?

Here are the best angles I can get.

It's a gentle tug in the right places, nothing more.

Try this as a guide instead:

Thank you, this was the guide I was following but as he said it was quite difficult when he first did it I didn’t want to be too gentle. I did try gently first though in case it gave in easily. Feel very annoyed with myself now!

Try removing the front part of the wheel liner to use a flat blade, from the inside, to spring the clips up one by one as you gently pull the bumper out from the bottom edge.

Yeah you’ve got all the wheel arch ones out so it’s just the scary bit of pulling. Try not to pull to far away from the bit where it’s attached so you don’t bend the bumper. It gets worse when you get near the sharp corner of the light.

So I should work my way along the line towards the corner of the light? Need to make sure I don’t break it more!
Yeah, it’s attached by little tabs all along the top body line, under the light and around it. I can’t see where you have broken it to be honest.

I’ll give that a go late this weekend then, I think I sheared it off as there are no clips visible and it’s white along the edge instead of blue. Thank you for your help :)
