I took it upto 5 then couldn't resist going for a quick drive round the block, not that a residential street is the place to test it.

I printed this thread out and took it to the VW dealer today.

Got the car hooked up and it turned out that my steering code was 10121 instead of the 00121 as stated above?

Any ideas?

was just an example of what you need to change, wasnt ment to be the exact number although i new it would be quite similar

they needed to just change the 2 for 5 so 10121 (code read from your car) to 10151

It might just be me being thick, but it wont let me change my settings :(, i recode them to 5 like someone stated in the first page, then click do it, and it still stays the same :( can someone give a vag com amature some help or advice please :) thanks

is yours really light mate? mine is really heavy as you noticed last monday! ive not looked into this as mine may need lightening a bit

save doesnt come up, it just says do it, so i click on that, and then it starts to get all the green writing up and the steering code still reads the same, 10121 or what ever it is

you click on steering assist, then on recode, change the code from a 2 to a 5, but then there is also another code below that, do i need to change that at all? after i have changed it from a 2 to a 5, what do i do then? click on do it? as no save button comes up :S

Or do i have to go into control modual finder? then put the code in for the steering and then change it?
