Locked boot

Hi All,

I'm kinda new so don't blame.

I have an issue for a year now.

My boot stopped opening for some time after my car battery died, which I replaced.
I managed to open boot from backseats. Then it start work again.
In December I been in Waitrose done my shopping, dropped my shopping bags in boot and no it doesn't open at all. just from back seats.

I have bought a new locker for boot, but i can't find which tools I need to replace it t20 or m8?

I am currently having issues with my lock, so my sympathies!

I took my boot lock out and I am quite sure it was an M8 spline that was required - However, be aware that I tried to use an M8 spline to suit a 1/2" socket and this would not work as the body of the tool forced the spline out of alignment. We had to force the spline bit out of the socket head and use this in a smaller 1/4" socket to keep the tool aligned.
