Looking at buying 17s but not sure on tyres??

Been looking at buying some 17s but not sure on what tyres to go for as most come with 205/40/r17 but would I be better buying the rims and getting some 195/40/r17??
My car is sitting quite low on coilovers so I dont know if the 205s would cause to much scrubbing??

do you have spacers on the rear ?, i ran 205/40/17 for a while had it sett low did get some scrubbing rised it up a little no problems, but now i have changed back to standard 16's

Atm I have 20mm spacers on the rear, im not sure what to do lol, I have a set of 16" bbs on but im not liking the look and I think they look quite small, thanks anyway

This is the damage my 17s did with 205/40s to my front arch liners.

This is how they sat with 15mm spacers. Scrubbed like mad.

think you could have the wrong offset on the wheels to scrub the front wheel liner mine did not only on the back ran ET40

Mine are ET37 O.Z SuperTs that came with the car when I bought it.

I have 17's TSW's, 205/40/17. They don't scrub at all, a good fit and look good. However I don't have a Cupra and my car isn't lowered, so I would say maybe stick with 16s. But get some you like? Also as mine is a standard Ibiza Cool/s, my spare tire is way off, I'm just currently risking it really.

You should be able to fit 17's no problem, dependant on the offset. I personally prefer the look of 16's, you can get an awesome stance then!
