Im just wondering if any other mods would be needed such as brakes or clutch?

on a standard car with small supporting mods everything should be fine stock on the condition the clutch is in reasonable condition now and not on its way out.

Once I'd had my fr mapped braking was scarily bad, but suppose it depends how you drive, I did a big brake conversion on the front... Just bought audi tt calipers and carriers picked them up off ebay for £82 delivered and bought some drilled and grooved 312mm disks got the disks and pads for £80 cheap upgrade for massive gains in stopping power, can't recommend enough
