Lowered the Altea (With pics)

I've changed the stock 16" wheels with the Leon Cupra ones (18") and the ET is just perfect.
I will post some pictures to let you know the result! ;)

Cheers,

Oh, another thing...

I'm about to change the standard coils (standard suspension) to the FR coils.
I hope will get some lowering and some stiffness, specially on corners. The stock suspension is quite soft and the cars leans a LOT.

Cheers,

PS: I do miss my old Altea Sport.... :(

Here is mine...

There's no F in Quality..
Hmmmm... didn't show when I first viewed the post at work this morning, and isn't showing at home either.....

But if I copy the URL for the image, and view it directly it shows.... might be a case that the hosting website doesn't allow hotlinking for images

I'll ask the other mods if they've got any ideas.....

Cars looking awesome Toxic [B)]
I've got these bigger rims lined up,just got 1 more left to refurb and it should have the same stance as yours! :)

ooer very nice... yep the 30m drop seems to be a bit lean tbh. more like 40-45 with Eibach Pro springs and Pro Dampers.

I love the stance, and ride quality though harder is just nice. just gotta get 4 wheel alignment done next week.

Sorry to butt in,

Im looking for the same stance as your altea (Toxic) so in your pics, i read that you have 45 offset on the 18s, with eibach springs (i have allready fitted spring kit) do you get any rubbing.
from the wheels?

can you please tell me the tyre size all round. and if you have any spacers fitted in the pics.

Cheers

Craig

Wheels are 8x18 ET45 : Tyres: 225x40 R18 : no spacers are fitted.

no rubbing as yet, still a good gap from lip of wheel arch. I also have Eibach Pro Dampers fitted and not standard shocks.

I may try pushing out the rear with 10mm spacers though, but need 4 wheel alignment done first.

lol, you got them on yet?

Just spraying the final one today! just need a final bit of polishing and they'll be ready! but i'm not sure if i'll fit them before winter now as the aluminium will be exposed on the faces. may put them on for a month though :D
