    Hi Damien.
Looking at lowering my mk1 Leon Cupra TDi.
Being a Cupra I just wondered, the drops states on your website, are they the actual drop you get or do it have room take the standard 10 mm drop into account as well?
Also, what drop do you recommend without changing the ARB at all? I'm only looking for springs, not shocks and not coilovers if that helps.

    Cheers!

    Morning,

    Thanks for your post.

All the quoted drops online are from standard height so with the Cupra model you will need to take off around 10mm.

I'd say go for around a 40mm kit, something like the ST by KW, which will give you around a further 30mm on top of what you already have.

    Thanks for the reply.
I've been looking at the H&R 50mm springs, so these would give me 40 mm drop? Do you know of any clearance issues with the drive shaft and arb with this drop? And being a tdi, I'll have to double check how much space is under the sump haha.

    That's right yes.

You're pretty much on the limit there so you wouldn't know for sure until you fitted them as to weather you would need to change the front ARB.

So would you say that a 40mm drop, like the ST ones would still clear the drive shaft fine? As I may go for those or the vogtland 35mm set

Yes you should be fine with the 40mm ST springs or the 35mm Vogtland springs.

    Hi Damien

So just to double check and confirm, the ST kit by KW (40mm) would definitely only give a 30mm drop? I've heard a few people arguing as to whether the cupra is actually 10mm lower as standard or not :/

Brilliant, cheers for clearing that up. I'll be ordering this evening. What kind of time scale is delivery in mainland UK? just so I can let the person fitting them know

Have you gathered that I change my mind easily yet? Lol

Another question, if I was to go lower than the 40mm, would the FK front anti roll bar have enough clearance? May purchase this as well just to be safe

    Afternoon,

The FK ARB will cover clearance up to around the 65mm area.

Don't no really being new to it. But the rear ache gap needs closing up looks like 4x4 but I'd like to space wheels about 15mm all round the car is at it's standard hight at the moment.
I was hoping to tell you what I wanted to achieve and you advise me. I'd like car prople to take a second look and appreciate it but not be that modded that it looks cheap. If you get what I'm saying. A nice classic type look the get
