Ive done a search but its not thrown anything up, when lowering the front of the car do you have to take the axle nut off? I have seen a video saying you need to but on other cars ive never needed to as the strut comes off easily enough, has anyone done it and found its a must?
I've never tried it without removing the hub bolt but there isn't much room in the arches. I think you would struggle to get enough room to remove the struts without.
The proper SEAT workshop manual does say to remove them, and they wouldn't intentionally make life harder for themselves...
It is possible to remove the stock suspension without disconnecting the hub. It’s tight though, I would want to be putting stock shocks back on in the same way.
Shorter shocks will fit without the hub being disconnected, I.e. H&R.
