Well ive just ordered some fk coilovers from the ukmkiv's forum, should have them in a few weeks :)

Anyone know how to get this bloody condinsation out of the headlamp with out removing it (hell no am i taking that bumper off again)

pgn_11_2m.jpg

when i have the prob, i take the cover off the back of the lights, remove the indicator bulb, and with the engine running put the lights on full beam......heats up nicely and dries them out. a hair dryer is always good to make sure you flush the moist air out. leave lights on normal beam when clear.
I then got some silicon based grease (sticky smelly stuff), NOT BATH SEALANT! and run a bead on the surround of the light cover. Put the indicator back in and then the cover....touch wood it hasnt got wet for a while....i do stress tho.....i have done this twice......eventually the moisture will find its way again.....[:@]
PS Dude i am loving the angle of the shots of your car.....are you an Art student by any chance?

bilstein streetline kit, i completely recommend this if you'd like a sesible drop and not a big loss ofride quality, build quality is fantastic too, its expensive for a fixed rate damper and spring kit but the one i previously fitted to a 98 hyundai coupe was amazing!

Good idea to what you said about sealing the head lights, its gona be fiddely as i have Xenon balasts etc in the way, but will give it a go!

looks good....i take it you used a slow shutter speed and the red line was a car driving past while your shutter was open........
really takes a good piccy............must blow the dust of my old Canon Eos.......have to experiment after seeing your shots mate!!!:)

Hey stu.....you are a legend matey!!!

Your 'how to fix the temperature back-light problemo' guide was fab and saved me a few quid.

Getting back on subject your wheels look fantastic but can you still get full lock to lock steering without them rubbing?

Also your HID's are also worth a looksie! How did ya get on with the self levelling or whatever you need to install to run xenon lights legally?

sorry if im giving ya the spanish inquistion but first post an all!
cheers

hello el chrisso, welcome to SCN!

don't forget to put a "hi, i'm a newbie" post into the newbie section, get a warm welcome from the other members of the forum!

the pics of stu's lights really don't do them any justice, they look so much brighter and blue-er in the flesh!

Dont remember doing that guide :S

No problem with any rubbing at all (remember Leon Cupra R's have 18's as standard)

Xenons arnt self leveling, not had any problem with them from the law or MOT station. They are 6000k so have a very light hint of blue, and they make some differnce to night time driving!

i thought when you get condensation behind the lense its because the seal has broken????

Nope it is a common problem with all seats, there is a fix to it, which if you have a search you will find, my lights have never actually steamed up since that pic

you will find its when it gets cold outside.....
the moisture is in the light unit, and when the lens gets cold cos of weather change, the moisture condenses inside the lense.....is a pain in the 4rse!

i have tried drying out with lights on, rear cover off and hairdryer then sealing back cover with silicon grease (smells like bath sealant.......only it ISNT bath sealant) but that doesnt work either.....just a fault we have to live with:censored:
