Been browsing around the internet at kits you can get for lowering the toledo. most of them say that you can do it on standard shocks up to 40mm. Is this true? and is there a fitting guide on here for lowering the car or should i get it done professionally? also what brands do you guys recommend?
cheers
The Sonny

I've heard talk of these James coilover kits on eGay for £299. Not sure what they are like though.

Lowering springs and standard shockers are a cheap way of lowering a car, it looks good but I don't think it really improves handling.

We lowered a bora (PD115) with eibach pro springs only.......it was ok....handled fine but long term it wont do your dampers anygood.
next car bora (PD150) with eibach springs and dampers.....Much better.....handled like it was on rails....hence my Toledo has the same Eibach Pro combo.........cant recommend it enough! :D
