Have a seat Leon stylance with standard 16” wheels. Want to lower it and was wondering what’s the best height to go for. Just want it to look better and will at some point get a set of 17” wheels

depends how you want it and how you want to lower it. Id go for 15mm springs

I personally wouldn't look at lowering it yet I'd look at maybe upgrading the alloys to a bigger set first just my opinion tho.

well after having it lowered for just over a day and a half i have had the springs removed.
Decided i just hate the harsh way it feels over bumps. So Sold the springs at a slight loss and got a remap instead.
Think i will still get 18" wheels and see how it looks

It will look fine with 18s on I don't know the difference mine was already lowered. I was offered some Mercedes c63 507 edition 19s the other day for £400 I was so tempted
