Noticed in recent weeks i have had biggish drop in mpg from my car, its doing between 6 and 10mpg less on a tank. wondered if it may be due to the recent temperature drops? Also filled up with ultimate then went back to normal petrol so wondered if this could be the problem?

Any help appreciated

In my own little world.....
Mine seems to have done this since the cold weather began - I ask my BF this (typical girly question) but he seems to think its the same as nothing has changed on my car at all....

Another reason why Summer is far better than Winter.....

Telford ay it...
ur car should be quicker in winter (in theory) because the air is colder and denser. but also use more feul. remember ur also using ur lights and heaters etc. more.

Paul - might be worth checking the crankcase breather pipe - I had a drop of about 5mpg when mine split in two a while ago.
