Matt Chrome Grille Surrround

Hi, sorry if this has been asked before, I have tried a search......

Does anyone know if you can get a matt chrome grille surround to match the FR wing mirrors? I am loving my FR but I just think the shiny chrome surround would look much better in matt......

personnale i would go the other way round

get cupra mirror caps and a cupra grill

I was thinking about doing that but I don't want people to think I am trying to dress up my car to make it look like a cupra

I guess I could always get the existing surround sprayed matt silver........I think it would look great as it would go with the mirrors.

Does the surround separate from the grille or will I need to cover up the grille when I spray?

I have found the how-to for removing the grille but it didn't say if the surround came off too.

It does but its a fiddly feeker to get off, tons of clips holding it in place, once you get it off, you'll see how it all works.

I'm not sure halfords can colour match, I think they will ask you for car codes, which they punch into the system and out pops a colour. If you find out they do, I would like to know, so I can get touch up paint for my alloys.

The lady I spoke to at Halfrauds said they don't match as such but I would have to pick a colour from a catalogue, all depends if they've got the right colour in the catalogue ~I guess...

OK, Halfrauds don't do this paint, they only do automotive body paint. Shame.

I haven't given up hope yet though. There are other companies in my area that are paint specialists.
