Vredestein's other stuff is supposed to be fairly good, if the EU do ban asymmetric tread patterns they'll just come out with a symmetric one.

It is a crap reason to ban tyres tho - think about it, most cars run a small degree of negative camber as standard. This means that the weight of the car is slightly biased towards the inner edge of the tyre so it makes perfect sense to have a different tread pattern on that edge.

Bloody EU try-hard do-gooders.

Just got back from amd car feels much better there was a small boost leak on one ov the n75 hoses and they tweaked the map adjust boost and fuel threw the rev range. Now hold boost threw the rev range to red line only droping a couple psi by redline. Pulls alot better threw the gears feels 100% better and enjoying the car again was beginin lose the love and was thinkin of getin rid but no longer feel like tht. Thanks alot to all the guys at amd top work

How much for the coilpack conversion in total if you don't mind me asking mate? PM if you prefer..

Are they coming from the states?

Never replaced my coilpacks, they are old. I'm wondering if it's worth doing them in a while but I know everyone says don't buy until old one's die and all that.

Nice one on the ebay find! Our cars are meant to feel a bit better with the 2.0 plugs! Let us know how you get on.

Didn't know awesome gti did them mate. Might have to have a word with them tomorrow!

I had seen those on eBay. Great price for what they are. The plugs look to be good quality parts. They seem to make idle and general running much smoother from what I've heard. Certainly would be a future mod for me if I was to focus on the engine.

Tom, PSI Tuning sell the complete sets too. Excellent customer service as well.

Fitted new plugs and the coilpack tonight aint got any pics was dark when was finished but there a gd fit was a bit of a pain push coilpack right down tho. Car sounds smoother on idle and smother to drive pulls nice.

Car feels great to drive now since there sorted the map and small leak pulls stronger and alot better ripens now

Happy with the car now

Matt

All have our ups and downs and fall out with them but in the end it will all come good. With these cars you just have to keep going and it all pieces together :)
