So the ice cream van sits there running for say 8hrs a day mostly in hot weather ( air con or fans running ) but yet you never see them in a petrol station?? Also where the hell do they go when not being used as I've honestly never seen one apart from when serving people!! I once asked an ice cream man and he said, "we all hide in whippy land" Cheers.

My van was always filled up once a week early sunday morning at Asda, and lived all of its non working life in a large lockup (that I still have) to keep it secure.

Have not done it since 2011 and the Base Merc van was £20.000 before conversion when it was built several years before that, probally a lot more now. Also remember it was filled with stock too, so not something you just left parked on the road.
