Mk 4 Ibiza specifications

There have been quite a few changes to the spec of the Mk4 Ibiza Sport/FR over the years. I thought it might be interesting to see what was added or deleted and when it happened.

I couldn't work out how to do it as a poll so here is my attempt. You could just type the item number + yes or no.

2004 04 reg FR.

Anything else you can suggest. I feel quite depressed now looking at my spec.

Current FRs come with both these as standard but as far as I know they haven't changed the design of the rear seats so it must be a bit of a snug fit if you are the centre passenger!

I thought my car had 8 speakers when I got it as it had rear tweeter grilles. However, when I took the rear trim panels off I discovered that there was no speaker under the grille. Sneaky or what!

The Sports just have a centre lap belt.

Yes, my FR is the same as your Sport – two shaped seats and a lap belt – so I don't know if they have changed the seat design on the latest models. I must be very uncomfortable if not.

To those of you saying you don't have the alarm deactivation button: Are you sure you're looking in the right place?

The manual for mine says the button is behind the driver's door. This is rubbish - I only found the button a week or two ago when I was hoovering the floor. It's in front of the driver's door, hidden from view in the driver's footwell.

I know where it's supposed to be but it's not there. Not really an issue as i wouldn't use it anyway
