looking lovely mate!
can't wait to hear this when finished mate!

if you look at the original inlet, you can see where the throttle body is located (on the left) and when open there is "x" amount of pressure, but then this is then split into 4 (each cylinder) so then it's "x/4" per cylinder

but as the bike carbs won't do this, so has better pressures (well bigger) so can add alot of power (for a N/A car)

Ah cool, is that similar to individual throttle bodies?

Few more pretty things arrived :)
Had a fair few bits powder coated gloss black, including all the brake system, rocker cover, and brackets

The main Brake bracket looks amazing, like new, and im really pleased with how the rocker cover came out

1.8T MK2 Conversion
Bike carb costing:

Bike Carbs £49.00
Inlet Flange £32.00
Stainless inlet pipe £15.00
Inlet welding £45.00
R1 Fuel Pump £25.00
Silicone hose £15.00
Inlet manifold gasket £3.00
Vacuum Nipples £8.00
Brake servo nipple £3.50
vacuum Hose £3.00
choke cable £8.50
Fuel T £2.80
Cable adjuster £3.50
Solderless nipples £6.00

Electrics to run the carbs:

Distributor and Loom £25.00
KR Controller £26.50
Distributor Cap £10.00

If you can get all that then thats all you need for the conversion :)
Obviously prices may fluctuate, like the inlet i made myself so ended up costing just over a hundred quid which isnt bad at all considering bogg bros sell them for over 300...

Youll need a kr distributor from a mk2 golf gti 16v, and the ecu off the same engine, and the bike carbs are from a ZX9R

very nice mate. Really like that you opted for something a bit different going with the bike carbs. I am a mk1 man myself too, so can definately appreciate this.
However as said, 4 lights...no.

was wondering what gearbox you'll be using? It was already a 5 speed because it was a gti, but are you now going for the one that came with the new engine or what?
