My partner has just got a nice little Mk1 (he will be joining up soon but has asked me to start a thread on his behalf :) ) the dash is a bit loose and the seats are a bit tatty, so he wondered is there another interior that would fit the Mk1? i.e a polo or golf
    Any help appreciated :D

Sportline was the one to look for as they had a decent interior and nice little body kit

the mk2 was more fiat based than VW mind

not a sales link just for some good pics

worse thing i remember about em is the HEAVY manual steering

Looks pretty tidy for the age actually. I cant imagine mk1 interior would be that hard to find through breakers yards tbh, dont see much on ebay which is normally first choice for cheap bits. Shame more havent got the mk1's on here for more advice really

It is really tidy, think some little old lady had it in a garage for years, only says 12,000 on the clock, don't think its gone round once either!
I back to blacked all the trim as was a nasty grey, but is looking good now, been on fleabay for parts but as you say not much there.
I think Mk1's are great! If i'd known of them when i passed i would have got one! lol

YOU back to blacked it lol, doing his dirty work for him lol

With the condition of it i wouldnt question the 12k being not genuine.

Looks like hes bagged himself a decent car
