Hi all, just wanted to put up a quick post asking about the difference in hardware setups for a k04-064 and gtx2867.
Maybe we could setup a table
E.g.
K04-064
Hardware requirements
Possible problems
Benefits over BT(do i need a new downpipe?)
Bhp & tq figures
Overall rough costing for parts.

And then along side it do the same for Gtx2867.

I appreciate not many people have done 1.8t 064 setups.
Just thought id start planning the next stage for my cupra :)
Thanks all who put forward info..... We could maybe even compile tables for diferent turbos and make it a rough sticky guide for anyone wanting 300+ :)

want 300+ go k04 hybrid if your car is k04 already. 330-350bhp achievable

064 is a lot of work. for same kind of level

want upper 300, larger framed turbo for the same effort is more sensible imho

and yes I've done a few 064 conversions, hence say this

How is the hybrid for using the car on track bill? In terms of things breaking. Not interested in all out power or a number. Other stuff to do first but I'll be getting rods and mapping from you when the time comes.

depends how hard you have it wound up.
track use is hard... those who do track them use them on less boost on track than they do on the road, so to keep temps under control.

Ohwell, thanks for the info, think ill be going down the gtx 2867 route.
I currently have 05 BAM cupra R.
Full 3" cobra, sports cat
Airtec front mount cooler
Forge 007p DV
Bmc twin cone with shield
Badger5 TIP v2.2.
N249 delete
*pcv delete, sai removal, powerflex dogbone are to be done

Would i be right in saying for around about 450 bhp i would need
Gtx 2867
Exhaust mani of some sort?
New downpipe
550 injectors
uprated fuel pump
Forged conrods

Am i missing anything?
Handling mods obviously mean engine/drivetrain related
Also if anyone has done this BT setup could they remember rough price costs?

450bhp from gtx2867? No chance I'm afraid on pump fuel.
Its a high 300's very low 400's on very high boost turbo.. Not 450bhp... GT30 for that level.
