What do you mean by the CAN BUS system? He does not have auto lights on his Leon so does this effect that?

No, you still need ones to work with CAN-BUS, the Leon wiring systems as Jon mentioned above :) It will give you a bulb error message and then cut the power to the lights otherwise.

Just to add, ive got H7R HID kit, non CAN BUS, and ive never had a problem with the bulb out.

And i know alot of people on here can report the same.

Best bet to go for a Can Bus set.

I think it'll come down to whether you have the bluetooth system or not.

If you have bluetooth and therefore the large MFD then you will have bulb monitoring - if not, then not.

Having bought the CAN BUS compatible HIDs and fitted them along with new white side light bulbs my mate is now getting a light on the dash as some of you mentioned? He thinks the side light bulbs are causing it though because it only comes on when only the sidelights are on but then goes off once the dipped beams are switched on?
Is he right in thinking this?
Are there different side lights available that dont throw up these errors.
Thanks in advance
