MkV Cupra bolstered seats - I have them!!

Well guys, I've finally pulled it off. Ibizaracebrake off the forums has been kind enough to sell me his set of new Cupra seats, having replaced them with a set of lightweight buckets for his absolutely gorgeous track machine. Now that they're in my possession, I have but a week to fit them to my own car. My previous attempt at eking information out of you guys was unsuccessful, but now I would like ideas of how to fit them. I've heard people say they should be a direct fit, I've heard some say otherwise - do we know anyone who has fitted MkV seats into his MkIV? Ibizaracebrake here reckons that the seating arrangement has changed as the Ibiza platform was upgraded - again, is this so? If it is, then has anyone fitted custom seats to their MkIV, and has any tips on how to do it? I'd like ideas guys, I have a week to do this, before I go back to Cardiff, and the seats won't be coming with me, and this whole thing will be put back for ages!!

Thanks, guys. How do I remove the car's seats though, I've never done this before.

M10 splice screwhead at each corner of the rails at the bottom of seat. Undo these and take out seats- easy. If you have side airbags you will have to disconnect the batttery before you unplug the airbags themselves so that you dont get the airbag light staying on!

Interested to see how you get on mate, post pics when finished!

Thanks for the tip buddy, sorry, hadn't noticed it before!

You sure about that? I half-assumed they would have changed all that stuff when they upgraded the Ibiza/Polo platform for the new model. I had heard that you may know about this topic :D.

Having unbolted many interiors of both models they are very similar.

Could be different width but it will take 10 mins to whip one out and plonk it in.
