Hi can any please give me an idea on how to clean my turbo as I occasionally get limp mode, I think I might have carbon built up as i use the car around town only.

Many vw sites recommend this over innotec, would be a great help if someone has a video on how to do this!

All these cleaners are a short period band aid.

Originally Garrett was involved in product development of innotec Turbo clean, but when tests showed that it does not work over longer period they decided to brake up the co-development.

If the turbo is in good condition, doesn't leak? Compression is still fairly good?

Pull the thing apart, get a good degreaser, WD40 would suffice if you can't get your hands on anything stronger then change the bushes and anything thats worn...could save you a bundle :)

Disconnect the exhaust downpipe from the turbo, fill with mr muscle oven cleaner, let it sit for a couple of hours and during that time move the vnt lever a few times. It should go all the way down to the stop and back really smoothly. Once that's done, bolt the exhaust back up and go drive it.

You might want to wear some gloves too and get a mirror and torch.
