I was going down thw motoryway the other day and my temp gauge started beeping and it was showing 120  I opened the bonnet and it wasn't that warm. Called the AA just incase and they couldn't find a fault and sent me on my way. Going back down the M55 home everything seemed fine till i got back upto 60mph and then the car told me it was "over heating" again...

Stopped on the hard sholder turned off the car and turned it back on straight away and the temp gauge read just above 90

Driving round on normal streets at 30-40 its fine. Went to manchester the other day to a gig and as soon as i reached 60 it "over heated" so i had to stay at 45-55 all the way there.

Anyone had this problem before ???

what gig was it?
this could indicate high temps, was it james blunt or iron maiden?
if it is your water pump, factor in cambelt and tensioner ,all recommended done at the same time
