My decat and dowpipe is all one piece

Got one of those ready to go on with my stage 2 remap on Monday But I've just thought - some decats I've seen are a separate bolt-on piece to the downpipe, but the one I've got is a single item! So come MOT time, will it be much of a ballache to get the original cat put back on provided I keep it stored away? Does this mean the decat and downpipe will have to be chopped?

easiest option is probably to chop and flange both for easy changes - other option is to swap downpipe+cat for mot, although i think changing the downpipe is a bit of an 4rse of a job!
