Hi there Guys and Gals,

I really cant understand why Fuel filters are a not included in a Seat Service.

My car has done 58,000 miles and look at the state of it! it was black inside. When I banged it on the floor loads of black bits came out :repuke: and I have been using Optimax/V power for 30,000 miles which should be fairly clean and im pretty sure the previous owner used the same.

What do you guys think? F.Y.I Im sure my car is running smoother since replacing.

just watch out for the excess fuel that leaks over your face and arms when changing these.... also make sure you have your ignition off and no keys in the car :)

Your petrol might be clean when it goes in but the tank isn't and nor are the pipes that all the crap from the tank gets pulled down - hence dirty filter filled with crud. I would change it every 12 months regardless.

Could you put up the part number please.

I ordered a fuel filter from vag parts before they went bust but they sent me the wrong one.

I have searched but didn't come up with anything.
