Hey
Been here for 6 months now so here's my journey so far...

My wife was pregnant so needed a car for work so she could keep the family motor so I bought this fl 2010 2.0fr with 95k on the clock here's how it looked when I bought it, it was lowered 35mm on apex springs and was remapped stage 1 with a lovely red grille.

Since I have fitted a new turbo DPF and aircon compressor a killallwipers bung into the rear window upgraded the single din to a rns315 and wired in the Mic painted the callipers and powder coated the alloys athricate grey changed the cam belt waterpump and engine mounts, changed the mirror covers to gloss black and changed the grille to a cupra r gloss black 1 and finally fitted a miltek cat back.

I have now ordered a cupra r diffuser and will be changing the exhaust to twin centre exit, cupra r spoiler ordered and on route, k1 aerokit side skirts bought fitting on the weekend and next I need a front splitter windows and front/rear light tints and I think I will be done. I may try to start maintaining the cleaning myself at some point but atm the cheap garages are doing better than I will.

Sorry about the poor write up and terrible photos hope yous like her as I do.

I have just upgraded the rear reg plate lights with these LED units error free took 2 minutes to fit... happy
lights.

Very nice clean car, love the color of the wheels, I used to have a set in that color.

How do you find the wind deflectors on the windows, some people say it makes the car noisy.

Thanks man, yea I had them off for a bit when the window is all the way down there's a slight whistle but up north it's not often you can put your windows down lol I just think it makes it look better with them on.

Good looking car! I to like them wheels!

Once you have the front splitter and some tints on the window that going to be a car worth keeping in good nick

You looked at BCS exhausts to fit your new diffuser? - https://www.powervalve.co.uk/products/seat/leon-cupra/leon-cupra-r-2-0-t-fsi-2010.html

What you need is some SCN stickers on it haha

Cheers
Cheers pal there's an exhaust company near me in keeping the miltek piping and getting a y pipe and tips fabricated to fit that I don't get a good enough note from the tractor to get another decent cat back.

Looks really sweet and tidy, it’s in much better condition than my own mk2. Really like the debadge, I haven’t in the past but looks good. I’m now even toying with the idea on mine.

Has the miltek exhaust made any difference to the noise with it being a diesel? Would you say that it’s worth it?

Hi mate thanks the miltek was a waste of money really sounds the same as it did with the standard exhaust because i still jave the dpf in except if I put my foot down and let off the pedal you get a swoosh noise. I'm going custom exhaust soon so the back box will be locked in my shed forever more with the melted part of the diffuser still stick to the tip lol. I have always debadged my cars just like the smooth clean boot.

So got out of hospital today managed to drop the back box off my miltek exhaust and tomorrow weather permitting i will change over the diffuser to the new twin exit 1. Pics will follow of how it comes apart I will post that in leon mk2 section for anyone looking to do the same see what's involved.

First fit of the diffuser done today still need to remove it to get it to fit a bit better but happy with it just waiting to get her in the exhaust company now for a custom rear section.

And after she got a quick clean to tidy her up.

That’s one sexy car, any tips on taking the Leon lettering off the boot btw? I’d like to have a go at it after work.

I've seen people use kettle water and dental floss behind the lettering...

That was a long time ago though maybe there is a better way these days haha make sure you're careful with the gunk that's left that you don't make swirls or marks in the paint when cleaning off lol you know how I am haha

Thanks pal I used a hair dryer warmed them enough to pull them off then sticky stuff remover from Halfords sprayed onto the residue leave it 10mins then wipe it off wash and polish to protect the paint again worked a treat

Sounds much easier than when I did it on a 1996 Corsa, took hours to debadge that thing. Dunno what glue they used but it was strong stuff.
