Hi guys

right update for you who have been reading and helping me with my other posts regarding induction kits and my n249 bypass causing juddering...

Thanks to cupramilo i took the cupra to AMD in essex, great place and top guys there who worked well hard from 8.30am till 6pm on my car.

It is not pulling like it should and was juddering, they plugged it into a laptop and found loads of faults (seems like the last owner bodged the work himself!) they said it needed -

new air mass meter (old one nackered)
new spark plugs (ones in it were wrong!)
new induction kit, powertech (old one broke airmass as cracked and making airmass read wrong)
new DV pipe (old one split)
new brake switch (EPC light was on)

I paid £444 for all this and even though the car was with them 9 and a half hours they only charged me for 2 hours labour!!!! Really happy with guys and service, they sorted the misfire and the juddering (apparently that was all of abopve causing that) BUT...............................
Lack of power still a huge issue, they took me out in a golf gti with same mods as mine (induction kit and revo map) and the thing flew and they said as mines lighter when mines running right it would wee wee all over it and i was shocked as the golf flew, anyway they said its still running lean and its not the map, or the air mass as they replaced it today all the preasure for fuel is there so they said it seems to be the fuel feed so possible the fuel pump.

I have to take it back to them monday and leave it with them for a few days till they can find the issue and fix it, they reasured me since the garage was opened not one car has left not done so mine will be sorted which is good and cannot wait, so after all this hopefully in a few days my cupra will be up and running fast and then i need to find a KO3S if any of you know were i can get one and also guna get a front mounted intercooler.

Thanks for all your help people in my last few posts about this but hopefully it should all be sorted very soon and was a combination of DV, plugs, air mass, intake and poss fuel pump.

Thanks again

Ant

Glad they sorted your car for you mate. They are top guys there and care about doing the job the right way. Just sounds like your car needed a dam good service and all th major sensors changing. I was recommended to them for someone else on the forum and cant knock a thing they have done to my car. Had stage 2 mapping done there by Shaun, servicing, coilovers and my new clutch.

Hope you get the car back to her former glory. I will have my ko3s up for sale when it comes off my car then i go hybrid, but it might be a few months till that happens. Keep an eye on the for sales section on here and on edition 38 as they do pop up from time to time. As for a front mount intercooler, it depends on your budget. If money is no object, go for a pro alloy or a forge, if cash if abit hard you can go for an ebay uni intercooler which also does a good job.

Hi mate yh thanks so much for there details your right they really look after you and all really nice, i had a 9 and a half hour lesson on turbos lol, so fingers crossed by mid week mine will be running near the 200bhp mark shes only on 44,000 miles aswell. I was guna ask you what mods should i get soon, i hate rims so after standard and it needs to be lower but what you think bout how low??? also want more power and torque, so front mounted intercooler, ko3s, miltech exhust jabba remap?? sound good ill be happy to get it to 250bhp. oh also mate your ko3s i shotgun it lol as long as it works well and is in great condition (fairly new) ill buy it from you so if oyu add me as a mate or whatever you do let me know the min its up fpr sale. Last of all how much bhp and psi can these engines take with out doing internals and on that note would it be worth me getting a hybrid or your ko3s as im not siure difference. thanks mate:banned:

lowering depends on the budget but if you want Coilovers id recomend AP for the price you cant complain. the cheapest route to more power would be stage 2 and k03s but You will only really see 230-240bhp from a k03s and stage 2 map. But you also need a new TIP, FMIC, full turbo back exhaust, obviously a k03s and somtimes a 4 bar fpr. Dependant on map. If you want more hybrid is the easy way to go either a k03-k03s hybrid will give the same results give or take around the 270bhp mark and is about £2500 for the conversion. And involves more parts etc than the k03s route. Have a search for hybrid should bring up alot of helpful info. The limit for the standard internals is around 300-350bhp from what ive read.

What he said ^^ I got 225bhp from my ko3s with all the mods in my sig, but it varies from rolling road to rolling road. Its a good conversion to do and you;ll def feel the difference but id go straight for a ko3hybrid and leave out the ko3 to ko3s swap
