Maybe since doing the bypass your DV vac hose is longer/shorter than it used to be? Would that maybe affect the settings required on the Split-R? (Just a guess by the way)

Did you see any advantage using resistors over the mechanical bypass or is it just a neater and "more proper" way of doing it?

Yeah been reading through that with quite some interest but still unsure as to what advantage it offers over the mechanical way of doing it other than for tidiness?
