Have noticed recently that the rear led lights seem to be lit along with the front drl’s even when light switch is set to 0 (I have auto lights).

Is this normal on facelift cars or is there some kind of light sensor in effect?

They tend to **** up with coding sometimes. In EU countries only front DRL should be automatically turned on.

Thanks I’ll have a look at the coding I think it’s this:

Activate daylight (DRL) in rear. LED drivers

With this modification rear lights are activated together with DRL.

    1 - Module 09 - Electronic. Code (31347)

    2 - Adaptation

    3 - Select - Aussenlicht_Front

4 - Sub - Tagfahrlicht dauerfahlicht aktiviert zusaetzlich standlicht

5 - Change value to On

In my case for 5 it will be off

And why do you think it's good to have real lights activated with DRL?

They aren't exactly bright and they do look amazing imo when I see other facelift leons on the road.

The above coding in wrong to turn rears off it should be:

    1 - Module 09 - Electronic. Code (31347)

    2 - Adaptation

    3 - Select - Aussenlicht_Front

    4 - Sub - Daytime Running Light

5 - There are 2 options then called Daytime Light, choose the 1st for F+R, 2nd for F only

I’m sure I’ve seen on here that someone said you can turn off the rear DRLs in the car menu through the infotainment screen. I might be mistaken

Why not? Imo the rear lights look the nuts and most manufacturers are now releasing cars with both front an rear drls activated. Probably got something to do with the morons who drive off with only drls on in the middle of the night and subsequently don't have any rear lights on!!! At least it gives the rest of us a fighting chance of seeing them lol

    Let's hope so,

I must see half a dozen cars each day on the way to work in pitch black just with the DRLS on and no rear lights.
