Not to be confused with some people advertising DS series pads which are regular pads, and not the Higher spec, higher performing DS2500 pads, or DS3000 series pads.

    Something new to try..
Used them myself on Wilwoods and they do work pretty well on track use.. with good cold braking also.

    Now for Brembo fitment..
An alternative to stock or Carbon Metallic pads..
    No wear sensors..
Price £96 +vat per set.. which is more like it.

    For those with 312mm BRakes - DS2500's - £118 +vat per set
For those with 280mm Brakes - £76+vat perset

NOTE: (added 8.9.08) These pads "exceed" Reg90 friction coefficient of road OE pads, and are classed are Race Pads. They perform way higher by definition that they exceed the reg90 +/-15% of std coefficient. This is why they are "upgrade pads" and whay so many people like them and there braking ability. They are superb brake pads. Other than the packaging there is nothing so denote them from any other pad, other than they work really well :)

How do these compare to the CM's?

Importantly, what's the dust and disk wear like with these?

Dust and Wear goes second fiddle to stopping.

Of the top of the noggin expect less wear and more deposit than a CF.

    Sensible(er) price though.

Pete, with these not having wear sensors, I'd say the were for the Ibiza ;)

Seem a pretty good price to me though.

I'm guessing that these would be somewhat of an overkill for normal road driving !! ;)

Ive got ds2500 on my 312mm brakes and they are fiercely powerful. and i was unable to fade them.
also thats a really good price considering the best youll get the ones for Leon cupra /312mm brake fitments will be about 95 squid

These are listed for Brembo calipers so are'nt specific Leon nor Ibiza. just Brembo.
I would say DS2500's dust less than CM's do.. less carbon content, more metallic content.

Just considering options for you guys as not everyone is getting th elife I would expect (and got myself) out of the CM pads.. Price is favourable also.. which also helps. :)

You wont find many performance pads which come with wear sensors.. and the reliability of the wear sensors is dubious.. as people have seen. (metal to metal and still no sensor warning!)
    regards

I don't care about wear sensors, if the light comes on it's too late... As long as disconnecting that doesn't show a fault ( and I assume it doesn't )

The question still is though will these fit the LCR bremo calipers? And will they squeel like the CM's?

They only squeel when very very hot and they start to fade (unlikely)
for the 312mm fitments Demon tweeks can supply and deliver :)

This includes two trackdays.. and has outlasted 2 changes of fluid :roflmao:

Some of the better known hardcore briskodians (TaviaRS, Ffelan, ColinD) swear by them :)

    PETE.............

cut wear sensor off old pad (cut @ pad end) join 2 wires together, and leave in multiplug, this stops
1 water ingress as it is fully shrouded
2 keeps the light from coming on,in dash

wear sensors on the lcr's are utter bollox and rarley work :D

I run 2500's on the pasty wagon all year, several trackdays, ring trip, and 10 sprints, still got half of pad left, fantastic pads IMO

    Cheers

What about sparks though Bill? I quite like the firework show I get from the CM's, even under light braking in the dark [B)]
