New Ibiza 'options'

I went to my local new car show a few weeks back but unfortunately it was just before New Ibiza was launched. I asked about the possibility of a winter pack bring an option. The sales guy said he thought there would be an option but that even the options in the brochure weren't complete. Anyway, I messaged Seat UK on Facebook and asked the question. Couple of days later I got a reply saying to go to my local dealer. I took that to be a 'no' then. Does anyone know if it's an option? I really want a heated steering wheel! Currently driving a Corsa with winter pack but miss the Ibiza's space. Can anyone help please?

Ibiza? Space?

If SWMBO needs to have more than 2 adults on board she takes the Toledo owing to the Ibiza back seat being tight on legroom for the over 8's.

How small does that make the Corsa you have?

The Toledo winter pack doesn't include a heated wheel either...

Heated steering wheel????????

Most of the functions on a Multi Function Steering Wheel are just done by IR etc remote control, okay the horn will be on a clock spring, but a heater, that would take a bit of heavier wiring.

Heated gloves might be a better bet, and on the Isle of Wight, hardly the extreme North?

Flipping heck, you (I/me) turn your back on what new cars have, and up pops heated steering wheels!

Poor old VX even adding in bits like that people still rubbish them! American relatives are over in UK and ended up with an Astra Elite with "floor shifter" - they can handle the electric handbrake, but the driving experience in general has left them hoping that someone else will do the driving - it made lots of funny noises when reversing up our driveway, sounded a lot like the turbo wastegate valve was working overtime. Not quite up to the standard that their Hundy offers them back home, I've since corrected them on how to say that brand!

What I meant was the Cosa's boot space is smaller. VX have had the option of winter pack (heated seats & steering wheel) for about 10 years at least, certainly since 2008. I have a circulation problem that causes my fingers to go white and numb with slight changes in temperature. I certainly get plenty of use out of it from October onwards even here on the little Isle of Wight.

Thanks for the help guys!

Ah, sorry for being flippant, my oldest daughter does suffer a bit from Raynaud's which sounds a bit like what you have, she has been working in Oz then KL so has not suffered for a few years, but is now back home to the frozen North!

Yeah, it's Raynauds that I have. That heated wheel is bliss! Oddly enough, when it snows my hands are fine yet touching a rainy car door handle in summer can set it off! I couldn't do without it now.

When I told my older daughter about heated steering wheels, she thought that that was what she needed, but added either heated pedals or the ability to get a lot more hot air into where your feet are would also be very handy!
