New Leon armrest

I see a front armrest is a dealer fit option for the new Leon. I've ordered my FR and I think I might really miss the armrest from my Toledo, but before I order one to be fitted to the Leon, can anyone tell me what it's like in use? I find the Toledo fold down armrest great because of its position ( I have the seat all the way back, I'm 6'3"). My wife is 5'4" and can't use the armrest becuase it doesn't move with the seat, and is set too far back for her. I've sat in cars recently where the fixed armrest has been useless for me - my arm is too far forward to rest on the armrest and the wheel (which is what I like to do). I dont' want to order the Leon armrest if it's like this, any advice guys?

Cheers

I got the armrest fitted in my FR and think it's great, makes my feel like I'm driving a big armchair!

What I don't like about it is that the whole thing doesn't fold up and cos it covers the cup holders u can't really use it to store stuff if u want to use the cup holders too...if that makes sense?

Decided to order one despite the lack of replies! Accessories guy did me a deal for £80 (£100 on website), I am going to fit myself, he assures me it's quite easy and much more straightforward than on the mk1 leon. Anyone had a go at fitting one? Advice much appreciated!

Hi

I fitted the armrest yo my FR it takes about 5 mins once youve got your tools out, the fiddliest bit is putting in the sticky foam base th cover the screw holes. There is a problem though its stops you lifting up the flap to the AUX input for your MP3 player input and renders it unable to be used. Although i fitted the leather armrest from the reference sport so if there is dedicated one for the FR this may remedy this.
