New TDI Sport Causes Arousal!

:D The new TDI Sport arived on friday afternoon, done around 600 miles and we're lovin' it!

Even-though the motor is still quite tight, the torque is fantastic, handling is superb, just can't fault it - well almost!
I think we were one of the lucky ones that have the upgrade to the "seat belt not fastened bleeps" even if no-one is in the passnger seat - minor niggle that I'm sure will get sorted by the dealer.

Does anyone know if it's too late to upgrade to the bluetooth system?
The sat-nav is getting quicker to use with time also.

Generally, I feel like a dog with 2 d**ks - fantastic car.

I don't think you can upgrade an existing car to Bluetooth, but you can fit an aftermarket kit like the parrot one, I find mine very good as it syncs with my phonebook & recent calls, and works through the stereo etc like the factory one. Even the interface matches the leon's dash !

Yep they're really good cars.

I think it's loads of work to add the bluetooth kit, new steering wheel, new instrument binnacle, plus everything else behind the dash.

I've heard good things about the parrot kits, and I'd also recommend the Sony Ericsson HCB-300 that I have in my Ibiza.

The run in is going to be painful indeed. Went for a sping last night and it felt pretty quick even low down the rev range. I had a Civic Type R before so will miss the 8200 rpm redline but I'm liking the turbo surge already.

Do you think the wife will notice a drop of Revo?)

Hi guys, thanks for the feedback, to any of you guys who have recently taken delivery, or about to on a SPORT model, take a look at my other post titled "free bluetoth" or something like that - it might make you grin!

Take care,

Just clocked up 25k and they do get quicker - problem is you also get used to how quick they are and then the car begins to feel slow (if you know what I mean).

happy motoring.

Yeah Knigh,
I do know what you mean, I,m into fast oriental two wheelers and every time you get a new one it's like "WOW" but give it a couple of weeks and the feeling goes - BOO!

Picked my 2.0 TDi Sport up yesterday - in Emocion Red - incidentally - has the FR replaced the 2.0 TDi Sport? Can't see it on Seat web site any more.

Very happy with it so far, although it seems they have installed a cruise control stalk, but without the mechanics behind it - thought I'd got free cruise control - to be honest not sure how to proceed? It will just bug me having the controls - perhaps I should try it on to get it retro fitted?

Your TDI Sport should have cruise control on it, it's in the specs for all Sports from memory. The cruise light telling you it's on doesn't work unless you have the larger trip computer. If cruise doesn't work, send it back mate, some of the cars on here have had trouble with it.

Cruise control is standard on the sport TDI 2.0 AND STYLANCE 1.6/2.0 FSI 2.0 FSI TRIPTRONIC/1.9 TDI ALSO 2.0 TFSI/ 2.0 TDI DSG. So the seat booklet shows. I have used the internet to buy the seat sport the company is allbrandsnew for my purchase its a car supermarket in Hull. Will let you all know what the service was like when its all done and dusted. The deal was super, local seat dealers to me would not and could not come near them for price greedy reps maybe. Although other net companys could but this one is on what car site. I have not got my car yet and it was due 2nd june. Styling kit was the problem for the delay so i am told. Will get a true date for delivery today they have also reduced the car again as a sweetner for my delay. So all in all seem to be a good company watch this space. Am i correct that there is an mp3 player as standard in the sport its a bit confusing in the booklet and i didnt ask when test driving it.

The MP3 compatibility is an option, and it's worth noting that all it allows the head to do is to play MP3 encoded CDs, not a plug into the head for MP3 players (as I thought)

Incidentally my purchase was through drivethedeal.com and I paid £14,624 for a 2.0 TDi Sport with MP3 option in Emocion red.

The end dealer was WJ King in Sidcup and I am very happy with the whole process - couldn't have been more straight forward. Would definately recommend both dtd and the dealer.
