Useful tip that Sam,how u discover that?
haha, i cant take the credit for it really. my m8 had his throttle body hose keep sliding off, so he sprayed hair spray on it and its stuck like ****. even with the hose clip off you cant even pull the hose off
need to make sure both contact areas are clean and oil free then spray away. its not what i would use on normal easy to get to hoses but seeing as the tip adaptor is a pain to get to i would recommend it PLEASE DONT GET ANY IN THE TURBO
Thanks I will give it a go.
Another little tip is to use some scotch brite
Or light emery paper and
Rough the outer edge of the billet
Where the silicon hose sit's mine has been on for six
Months now with no issues
My old man thought about that. I have it on really tight now so that the clamp is boring into the silicone and flush with the billet. Will see how it goes. Thanks for all the tips, no pun intended !
Hi there. I was looking at ordering the "BLUe BADGER 5 80mm K04 FULL AIR FILTER INDUCTION KIT S3 / TT / LEON CUPRA R" kit off your Ebay page but I actually really want the pipe in red. Hiow do I go about doing that?
Also, while I will go look too, are there any benefits in going with the BMC twin cone option you nention over the JR cone? Thanks.
i can add the red back on.. its in stock.. limited supply of billets until 11th june.
you can call me to order one
Thanks Bill. Any difference in price getting direct from you instead of via Ebay? I get Free Airmiles with Ebay purchases but if there is a worthwhile saving calling you then I have no problem doing that. Thanks for coming back to me!
I got to drive the R properly for the first time today and while it is nippy and good fun, it takes so, so much longer to climb the speedo than my main car so I can't wait to get some proper power in to this thing.
its the same price everywhere.. I just have them on ebay to make it easier for folks to click and buy online as I dont have an e-comm website
Cool. If you could stick up the full kit in Red on Ebay I will buy it asap thanks
This looks mega Bill... just wish there was a bolt-on kit for ESP/LHD applications !!
relisted now in red, full kit
Ordered, schtar sir! I take it won't take as long to ship as the ad states as it is in stock? Just checking as I have the remap booked for 22/06.
I've just ordered the Blue Kit, any idea on how long it'll roughly be for me to recieve?
as soon as they come back in to stock, you will receive 2 days after.
Red and black in stock currently.
Hahaha, will teach me for not reading the page properly, cheers
Can I fit your TIP to an LHD LCR225? I've already got a Jetex cone with a heat shield and I'm looking for a proper 80 mm TIP.
I don't really know if there's any difference between LHD and RHD versions... Maybe the steering coloumn?
problem on lhd cars is there is a brake pipe which pushes into the side of the TIP coming off the master cylinder.. It fits, but the pipe pushing against the tip squashes it, and no doubt over time it would wear a hole.
So what do you recommend for an LHD LCR owner? I assume this problem occurs with all the aftermarket large bore TIPs...
I don't really want to buy something if I know the car will wear down it within a year or two.
anything big bore is going to be tight on lhd as far as I can tell
