i just paid for it
This is an excellent progression on a great product. Well done Bill.
Increasing the diameter to 80mm increases the overall csa by nearly 11% which is a big increase in potential flow not to mention the removal of the internal resistance from the joiner section.
hmm, when funds permit i may be tempted to upgrade my 76mm tip.
Hi I would like one of these in black, can't work out how to PM you though, maybe because I havent posted enough yet. Could you contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org with a price including vat & postage and how to pay when you have a black one in stock?
I'm about to fit the Mk1 version of the 3" TIP today.
As this TIP has the same aluminium adapter for the turbo fitting I want to check that Hymolar Universal Blue is good enough for the seal between the adapter and turbo?
I know you only use a little of it and the fitting is tight anyway so I should thing its ok but wanted to confirm first.
Hope to get a reply soon
nope. another S3 here for BT work
yea that will be fine.. only needs a light smear and wipe off any excess which protrudes inside afterwards.
I am on email too.. email@example.com
80mm in black with postage and vat is £188.50
Pre-orders are advised to secure a black one from the next due delivery. They sell before they arrive continually.
no worries.. and thanks willy
Cracking job Bill.
wish I didnt have the 3" now! cant really justify a new tip
Ok thanks! So I need to send you the money through paypal with details of what I want to preorder? When are you expecting another batch of black?
will be my first mod to this s3 i got and to confirm bill it does have esp , i'm looking for a black one , how long can you reserve on for and whats the deposit ?
next batch is due in 10 days time
to secure one you will need to send payment.
Comparison of Stock to 80mm one...
Not much difference is there bill
no, some "small" bore size differences..
Easy to see why the turbo can now inhale all the air it requires without cavitating
Its so clear to see that this tip is a must have, bet these are flying off the shelf bill.
Will be sending u a email soon about a few jobs i would like you to carry out
Oaft i wasnt gonna bother with one but now its all one silicon piece i think i might have to invest along with my braided brake lines
Just received mine today , very happy, thanks a lot bill, cant wait to fit it tomorrow.
Is their any particular silicone i need to use for the turbo billet adaptor?
just use automotive silicon type sealant.. and smear a light coating on the inside of the billet adaptor and rotate the adaptor when fitting it onto the turbos intake, and wipe off any excess which appears on the intake.. It wont need much there's only 0.1mm clearance to fill.
Just ordered mine, cannot wait for it to come
