These are standard front Conts for the Leon 300 with 5k miles on. I really want to get some PS4's as have heard amazing things about them, only had this car a week and just feel like the traction is awful and this must be to do with the tred being low and the fact these tyres are not the best. To get the most out of these tyres how long do you think these have left or would it be best to buy new PS4's asap.

You're not wrong. As mine get to half worn they're spinning up all the time in 2nd and 3rd on dry roads, and it's not particularly cold now.
