Hi
I bought my Cupra privately around 3 months ago and everything is completely stock. I'm considering adding subtle aesthetic modifications but have no idea where to start! Possible front splitter/rear diffuser?

A good idea from my point of view would be to pop over to one of our local meets so you can see all sorts of mods people of done and then make up which you fancy for your car...

We've got a local meet in Doncaster on the 1st September if that's anywhere near you... Currently got 20ish cars going, many of them MK3's.

If this is a little far you have a few options for splitters and diffusers, a few brands to keep in mind... (loads of others)

Thank you! Unfortunately Doncaster is a little far ☹️ I’ve heard/seen good things about Reiger so I’ll look into that a little more.

Thanks for the advice!

Here’s my usual sales pitch for the Reiger front splitter

That’s how it looks on my 300. Go for it and it’s so easy to fit.

Get the front if the car off the ground first.

The splitter has 22 pre drilled holes in it and if you hold it up to the car you will see that four of the holes line up exactly with four self tapping screws already fitted on the car.

Remove the four self tappers and then line up the splitter again (many also use tiger seal on the splitter too) screw those four self tapping screws back in and you are now faced with 18 holes that need to be drilled. Using a 3mm bit, drill through the splitter pilot holes into the car 18 times. Then screw in the 18 Self tapping screws and bingo. Job done.

Mine was fitted that way and it is Rock solid.

At the moment no, other than a 034 Motor Sport Dog Bone insert and Michelin PS4S Tyres. Oh and tinted the front fog lights.

So I’ve finally got round to getting new tyres and went for the Michelin PS4S’... although I’ve noticed a drop in my MPGs - did you notice that at all? I usually average 34-35 but can’t seem to get above 31 now!

I’ve got a 300 and PS4S tyres and regularly get in excess of 35mpg when taking it easy. However that drops to around 14mpg when not

Mine’s a 290 and I used to get the same! Always use Shell V Power too. Strange...

Now to find a splitter...
