No Apple lightning cable!

Just borrowed a 150ps TDI SC FR from SEAT prior to mine turning up and it does not come with a lightning cable.

Is this just me (it's been knicked from the fleet car) or did nobody get one? Bit **** if not considering the SC was launched after the iphone, ipod and ipad all swapped over.

Yeah, mine came with the old style cable. I just have a converter in there as well but it suits me as my GF has iPhone 4 so we need both options really.

I may be wrong, but I don't think the technology is workable backwards. So if they supplied it only with the new smaller lead, owners of older Apple products would be stuck. At least by supplying the old lead, all you need is the adapter (albeit for £25 if you buy officially from Apple).

It does make sense but If they want to say ipod/iphone compatible on a 2013 car they should give you both in my opinion. Im sure they will throw in an adapter

Well its not helped by the fact apple are the only people allowed to make the cables. So not really Seat's fault.

Well it turns out they didn't, another thing on my hit list!

Can I just confirm anyone with an ipod, iphone or ipad with the new lightning connector has to use an adaptor on the old style cable provided or bluetooth it?

I have an iPhone 5 and use the official Apple adaptor on the 'old' cable. It works fine and I don't mind as my girlfriend has the 4S so it suits both of us for when she needs to use it. The only gripe is that I had to buy it from Apple so it cost me £25 or something.

Just to confirm if someone can.
If you use an official apple lightning adapter with the standard midi cable you get full functionality like with an iPhone 4. Ie album selection in the easy connect. The reason I asking is that I have tried one of the "cheap" ones and it does not work.
