Picked it up a couple months back looking sorry for itself, paid for itself as you can see.

Blacked a few of the rear end parts and started sanding down for paint

I can sense some sarcasm... I thought it was cool at first but I kinda regret it because it bangs the body but whatever, car is coming off the road next week being completely stripped down and repainted as well as engine stuff so the exhaust is the first to go. But it did look decent at 1 point

No seriously I wasn't being sarcastic... swear bro. I have mad respect for custom work, you learn by doing. And it's always easier said than done. Take a small steel rod, bend and weld to make a custom exhaust hanger. Use stiff hanger not a rubber one.

Fabrication work etc is knocked on the head for now, haven't touched the car for a few weeks and I'm in the middle of moving house so priorities mean it'll be another couple of months before I strip it to a bare shell

And I'm the same, I don't think or act like I know everything, and the weld quality on the pipes shows I can barely weld but I'm willing to have a go before I say I can't do something

If that’s the original cat converter then it’s worth some good cash

I've scrapped a few in my time, the non pd cats are pretty worthless, it's not worth the journey and time for the £10 at most it would get me, I've cut it open and smashed all the insides out of it now

Well at the time It wasn't worth anything so I just gutted it, exhaust is getting redone soon anyway once I start working on the car again, hopefully it'll be done by the end of the year so I can put some miles on it before summer comes

Remember any diesel questions for power etc have a word with darkside developments as they are the Kings at diesel performance lol think they made a 400bhp seat arosa drag car to beat an M5. Worth a watch. Something about using a turbo from a tractor lol

Been following the darkside arosa build for a while and the thing is insane. I know a fair bit about diesels but I've never gone this deep into a VE so just wanted to clear a few things up, it'll have some steam when it's done but it won't be nitrous bound crazy
