  1. Yes this worked fine on my Pre Facelift car, do you have the same description for Bit7

Last obvious question (as we all do it) did you tick the green box to save the change

I have a face-lift 2018 FR. None of bits have a description and all bytes have 0's across the top

  3. Then you cant use this coding, the great burgers at VW Removed all the long coding from about 2016 (on the BCM Control unit) so this code does not work for you I am afraid.

Oh, that's a bummer. Thanks for your reply. @theoldboy

  5. No problem, have a look in the adaptation most of the stuff that was in Long Coding got moved across but I dont pay much attention to facelift cars I am afraid.

Thanks. Might need to brush up on my German though.

  7. Google Translate is your friend.

I am afraid I am sad enough that I put all the control units into Excel and did translations on my car to help find stuff quicker.

I will leave the file there for a week and then remove it.

Let me know if you find any errors or updates that I should add

UPDATE - Just a reminder this is for a 2014 Cupra 280 so may be different to other cars.

Other info that may help people who use Excel, check out http://obdeleven.proboards.com/thread/3204/using-excel-exported-data-tips and just to add to that post, Excel also has a translate function inside the app which is much easier to check out what stuff is.

    Guys/Gals,

I asked in the Carista thread but the answer is a no apparently.

Can you use OBDeleven to increase the DRL brightness when the headlights are switched on ?

Is just like to increase them a touch (I presume they are set to about 10% with headlights on) to improve near car visibility at night.
I’m not massively impressed with the Seat Full LED headlight system.
It’s lacks any form of cornering light and doesn’t light up the area immediately in front of the car.

Also no front fog lights anymore so that isn’t an option for cornering light.

I’m wondering if increasing the DRL level with headlights on (obviously not too much to dazzle) would help.

  19. Afraid I don't have the light settings for the facelift cars but logically you should be able to adjust the DRL Values if that is all you want to change then might be worth a shout on this thread or VCDS one for somebody to come have a look for beer tokens.
