An interesting discovery, not sure if it has been brought up before, if it has, apologies!

The OEM projector lights use level sensors to correct the angle of the light when the car goes over bumps or is loaded unevenly, etc. Now on the guide I used for changing my springs (for a GTi) it stated there would be a level sensor on both the front and rear of the vehicle, however, on my FL Cupra, there is only a sensor on the nearside, rear, suspension arm.

This means that when the car is lowered, the level sensor is seeing the change in height at the rear of the vehicle, but has no idea what the front is doing - meaning it thinks the back of the car is squatted down. This results in the lights adjusting to point downward, reducing optimal light output.

I have corrected this by shortening the linkage on the level sensor, but thought others should be aware!

Hope this is of help.

Have you got a guide for this, as since I've lowered mine the lights are pointing down wards!

I had a feeling the level had changed!

Witter bar with the quantum upgrade kit.

Not been on here for a while. Apologies. If you look at the rear axle you will see the leveller crudely screwed in place. There is a plastic arm that links the rear axle to the leveller. If you unclip this arm, pull one of the end off the arm - may involve use of a hacksaw/vice etc, then trim the arm down by 5-10mm and reattach the end when you refit the arm you will find the level has adjusted.

When I fitted my coilover set I afterwards adjusted the height of the lights trough vagcom.
After that the lights where again on the right heigt so no need for adjusting anything on the load/height sensor on the rear axle.

In that case it will be through. But to be honest I guess your Dutch would be more than good enough to give people loads of reasons to make you have to run for your life :D

I guess so but the only strange thing is that Leons from some production years block this option through vagcom. I had to tell my computer that my car is a altea tfsi and after that it was possible to adapt the height settings of the HID units.
