oil light flashing when i start up the car

Hi Guys

i have a seat ibiza 1.4i 2008 model, when i start up the vehicle , the oil light of the dash flashes and its followed by a beeping sound. after driving for a few seconds it then stops, it does not happen everytime i start the car, it mainly happens after the car was parked for a while or the 1st start up for the day.

does anyone know what could be wrong, please help as im not so clued up with mechanics.

possible oil pressure sensor maybe have u had the car scanned or know anyone with vcds

That’s fine and vcds is what everyone uses to scan the car for codes but if you know anyone with a good snap on code reader that should work too
