My 2014 Toledo has started throwing up the 'change oil' message when starting and I can't figure out why :wtf:
The vehicle isn't yet at a 12 month interval (as per service booklet recommended or up to 20,000 miles) and has covered only 9,000 miles. I can't understand why its pinged up now, anyone else had this occur?

It sounds like your was set up for annual 10000 mile service not variable service (up to 30000km).

Check for option code QI6 on the inside cover of the handbook or on the sticker near the spare wheel.

QI6 is variable service. any other QIx code isn't.

Also check service interval on the maxidot (when stopped - it doesnt display otherwise)

Variable should show about 18000 minus the miles covered since new so 8 or 9 thousand to go.

Cheers matey.

I did speak to SEAT and they think the service light has tripped on early for 10k. I'll have a look for the code
